Obtuseness and Perception


Obtuseness noun - The quality or state of lacking intelligence or quickness of mind.
Usage example: our guest's obtuseness was such that he failed to take even the broadest hint that it was time to leave

Perception is an antonym for obtuseness.


Perception noun - The ability to understand inner qualities or relationships.
Usage example: a writer of considerable perception, she remembers how it feels to be confused and insecure
