Aberrant

Aberrant adjective - Departing from some accepted standard of what is normal.
Usage example: aberrant behavior can be a sign of rabies in a wild animal

Out-of-the-way and aberrant are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Out-of-the-way" instead an adjective "Aberrant".

Out-of-the-way adjective - Different from the ordinary in a way that causes curiosity or suspicion.
Usage example: a tell-all book that focused obsessively on the out-of-the-way sexual activities allegedly engaged in by the film star
