Anatomize verb - To identify and examine the basic elements or parts of (something) especially for discovering interrelationships.
Usage example: if you anatomize the problem, you'll see it stems from a combination of her bad behavior and your unwillingness to speak to her about it
Cut and anatomize are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Cut" instead a verb "Anatomize".

Cut verb - To penetrate with a sharp edge (as a knife).
Usage example: I cut my hand on a piece of broken glass
