Annex
Annex verb - To join (something) to a mass, quantity, or number so as to bring about an overall increase.
Usage example: plans to annex the supply room so as to make the classroom bigger
Insert and annex are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Insert" instead the word "Annex" as a verb or a noun.
