Appeasing
Appeasing adjective - Tending to lessen or avoid conflict or hostility.
Usage example: we had been feuding with the people next door, so inviting them to the party was intended as an appeasing gesture
Winning and appeasing are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Winning" instead an adjective "Appeasing".
