Avouch verb - To declare (something) to be true or genuine.
Usage example: a note from my doctor avouching that my medical condition did indeed disqualify me from gym class

Certify and avouch are semantically related. in assert topic. In some cases you can use "Certify" instead a verb "Avouch".
