Usage example: as the first woman to work in the mines, she was mercilessly baited by the men on her shift
Nettle
Nettle verb - To disturb the peace of mind of (someone) especially by repeated disagreeable acts.
Usage example: don't nettle your brother while he's trying to do his homework
