Besiege
Besiege verb - To surround (as a fortified place) with armed forces for the purpose of capturing or preventing commerce and communication.
Usage example: armies besieged the city for six months before it finally surrendered
Isolate and besiege are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Isolate" instead a verb "Besiege".
