Bond
Bond noun - (criminal law) money that must be forfeited by the bondsman if an accused person fails to appear in court for trial.
Usage example: a $10,000 bond was furnished by an alderman
Recognisance and bond are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Recognisance" instead a noun "Bond".
