Breaker point and Tangency

Breaker point noun - A contact in the distributor; as the rotor turns its projecting arm contacts them and current flows to the spark plugs.

Tangency and breaker point are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Tangency" instead a noun phrase "Breaker point".

Tangency noun - The state of being tangent; having contact at a single point or along a line without crossing.
