Color

Color noun - A property that becomes apparent when light falls on an object and by which things that are identical in form can be distinguished.

Shades and color are semantically related. In some cases you can replace term "Shades" with "Color", this nouns are similar.

Shades

Shades noun - Spectacles that are darkened or polarized to protect the eyes from the glare of the sun.

Color and shades are semantically related. Sometimes you can use "Color" instead a noun "Shades".
