Conjoin verb - To come together to form a single unit.
Usage example: several streets conjoin to form the crossroads known as New York's Times Square
League
League verb - To form or enter into an association that furthers the interests of its members.
Usage example: the whole block leagued together to keep a liquor store from opening in their neighborhood
