In several Canadian reserves you can encounter fried bannock (a flat bread similar to scones that's made primarily of lard), Bannock Pops (bannock stuffed with seasoned ground beef and sometimes potatoes and deep fried), and hound dogs (hot dogs wrapped in bannock and deep fried).
