Yield verb - To cease resistance (as to another's arguments, demands, or control).
Usage example: after initially balking at the order, the soldier yielded when the commanding officer threatened a formal charge of insubordination
Defer is a synonym for yield in grant topic. Sometimes you can use "Defer" instead a verb "Yield", if it concerns topics such as give in, precede.
