Deliberate adjective - Decided on as a result of careful thought.

Self-imposed and deliberate are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Self-imposed" instead an adjective "Deliberate".

Usage example: if the candidates all follow self-imposed campaign-spending limits, government oversight is unnecessary
