Dynamite
Both words in one sentence
- A common substitute is dynamite — while the whole point of it is that it's much less unstable, it has a narratively convenient downside of "sweating" nitroglycerine after long periods of storage.
Source: Nitro Express - While newly made dynamite is safe, old dynamite is unstable because it "sweats" the nitro out of itself, which can then act as the triggering explosive to set the rest off.
Source: Hair-Trigger Explosive - This is incidentally a Critical Research Failure, as gelignite cannot "sweat" and become unstable with age the way dynamite does, and in fact was developed as a response to this problem occurring in dynamite.
