Early

Early adjective - Relating to or occurring near the beginning of a process, series, or time period.
Usage example: early birds of the Jurassic period

Out-of-date and early are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Out-of-date" instead an adjective "Early".

Out-of-date

Out-of-date adjective - Having passed its time of use or usefulness.
