- This just makes instances of this trope stand out even more, such as the time Annie escapes from robots by riding on the back of a toy possessed by a fox demon thing.
- Not only does it spoil her eventual fate in the third film, but it makes the extended backstory (where she narrowly escapes after her mother and brother are massacred by the xenomorphs during the colonists' last stand) more pointless than her appearance in the sequel.
