Extraneous adjective - Not having anything to do with the matter at hand.
Usage example: the professor would have covered all of the course material if she had refrained from her extraneous remarks on just about everything

Unsuitable and extraneous are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Unsuitable" instead an adjective "Extraneous".

Unsuitable adjective - Not appropriate for a particular occasion or situation.
Usage example: all the movies playing now are violent or otherwise unsuitable for a child's birthday party
