Fault verb - To express one's unfavorable opinion of the worth or quality of.

Nitpick and fault are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Nitpick" instead a verb "Fault".

Nitpick verb - To make often peevish criticisms or objections about matters that are minor, unimportant, or irrelevant.
Usage example: her husband nitpicks about everything: from how she puts the plates away to how she files the bills
