Fix Fic: As in many Eva fics, a lot of the story is spent mending the characters' various emotional problems and averting the Downer Ending of the original.
- She closes the rip with sorcery to make the point that she never actually needs to fix things by hand, and responds to his bewilderment with "because I like to sew, dear." She then rips the shirt again and proceeds with the mending.
