Put out
Put out verb - To bring to bear especially forcefully or effectively.
Both terms in one sentence
- Cue the eyes watering up, breaths of flame, then running to the shower to put out the fire.
- It's especially noticeable as the fire usually starts out as a single small and easily extinguishable flame and the video could still end in the intended way (read: the troublemaker getting grounded) with the fire being put out.
