Fugitive adjective - Lasting only for a short time.
Usage example: had fugitive thoughts of leaving town after finishing high school but never acted on them

Interim and fugitive are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Interim" instead an adjective "Fugitive".

Interim adjective - Intended to last, continue, or serve for a limited time.
Usage example: putting up some students in local motels is obviously just an interim solution to the college's housing shortage
