Usage example: a number of big names were recruited in the hopes that their presence would glorify the university's school of medicine in the eyes of the medical world
Humble
Humble verb - To reduce to a lower standing in one's own eyes or in others' eyes.
Usage example: Philip was utterly humbled by a crushing defeat in the first round of the state chess tournament
