Hypertonicity and Osmotic pressure

Hypertonicity noun - (of a solution) the extent to which a solution has a higher osmotic pressure than some other.

Osmotic pressure and hypertonicity are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Osmotic pressure" instead a noun "Hypertonicity".

Osmotic pressure noun - (physical chemistry) the pressure exerted by a solution necessary to prevent osmosis into that solution when it is separated from the pure solvent by a semipermeable membrane.

Hypertonicity and osmotic pressure are semantically related. Sometimes you can replace term "Hypertonicity" with "Osmotic pressure", this terms are similar.
