Important adjective - Having too high an opinion of oneself.
Usage example: oh, you're so important—you think the world revolves around you

Self-assured and important are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Self-assured" instead an adjective "Important".

Usage example: he's a self-assured yachtsman who's not at all intimidated by the competition
