Induce
Induce verb - To cause (someone) to agree with a belief or course of action by using arguments or earnest requests.
Usage example: finally induced the eyewitness to the gangland slaying to cooperate with the police
Interest and induce are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Interest" instead a verb "Induce".
