Kooky adjective - Different from the ordinary in a way that causes curiosity or suspicion.
Usage example: I'm not sure that someone with such kooky ideas on biology should be teaching the subject to high schoolers

Normal adjective - Being of the type that is encountered in the normal course of events.
Usage example: that fateful day had begun just like any normal workday
