Leave verb - To cause to remain behind.
To come by and leave are semantically related. In some cases you can replace phrase "To come by" with "Leave", this terms are similar.

Here, not only is she a really good battler, but she's clearly older and plays a very active role in the plot (a rarity to come by in later Coro Coro Pokemon adaptations from that point onwards, which may leave out the female character altogether).
