Mock verb - To copy or exaggerate (someone or something) in order to make fun of.
Offend
Offend verb - To cause hurt feelings or deep resentment in.
Usage example: the visitor unintentionally offended his hosts terribly by failing to compliment them on the elaborately prepared meal
