Valley noun - An area of lowland between hills or mountains.

- Most are Vaisha's (peasants), though such things were apparently not taken as seriously in the mountains as they have sometimes been in the valley.

The valley is stated to be 3 days ride from Sacramento, which would place it somewhere in the California side of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The place is fairly easy to defend—with the exception of Basel (which is situated in the Rhine valley), Switzerland is surrounded by high mountains and a lake and the few tunnels can be easily closed in a war.
