- The inverse issue is true for the NATO 7.62x51mm battle rifle round and its parent munition in .308 Winchester - owing to the kinds of big game .308 rifles are meant to hunt, the 7.62mm NATO round actually has a lower chamber pressure than .308, so civilian rifles don't need any such idiot-proofing.

Also, the Maximum Tech book introduced several types of specialized autocannon ammunition, one of which was a sub-munition round, which broke up after firing, like the special ammunition for the LB-X series of autocannons (Which were more like shotguns than autocannons.)
