Nudge verb - To try to persuade (someone) through earnest appeals to follow a course of action.
Usage example: the car salesman nudged me into taking a test-drive, even though I had said that I was just looking
Prod
Prod verb - To urge or push forward with or as if with a pointed object.
Usage example: kept prodding the sheep with a staff to move along faster
