Obdurateness noun - A steadfast adherence to an opinion, purpose, or course of action in spite of reason, arguments, or persuasion.
Usage example: the man clung to his views on gun control with an obdurateness that was peculiarly impressive

Self-will and obdurateness are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Self-will" instead a noun "Obdurateness".
