Out-of-the-way

Out-of-the-way adjective - Different from the ordinary in a way that causes curiosity or suspicion.
Usage example: a tell-all book that focused obsessively on the out-of-the-way sexual activities allegedly engaged in by the film star

Queerish and out-of-the-way are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Queerish" instead an adjective phrase "Out-of-the-way".
