Pretense

Pretense noun - An exaggerated sense of one's importance that shows itself in the making of excessive or unjustified claims.
Usage example: the pretense of that woman in thinking that the other hotel guests should be inconvenienced just for her

Self-opinion and pretense are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Self-opinion" instead a noun "Pretense".

Self-opinion noun - An often unjustified feeling of being pleased with oneself or with one's situation or achievements.
Usage example: an editor of sufficient self-opinion to include some of her own work in an anthology of the best American short stories
