Prompt

Prompt verb - To be the cause of (a situation, action, or state of mind).

Sic and prompt are semantically related in incite topic. In some cases you can use "Sic" instead a verb "Prompt".

Sic

Sic verb - To take sudden, violent action against.

Prompt and sic are semantically related in urge topic. You can use "Prompt" instead a verb "Sic", if it concerns topics such as egg on, push to do something.
