Put away
Put away verb - To place (a dead body) in the earth, a tomb, or the sea.

In Oblivion, for instance, most archers will put away their bows and draw a melee weapon if their enemy gets close enough, and the City Guards will default to longswords but switch to bows at range or if the player gets somewhere they can't climb to.
