Rate verb - To criticize (someone) severely or angrily especially for personal failings.
Usage example: a tyrannical father who usually spent most of dinnertime rating his children on their alleged multitude of failings
Rant at and rate are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Rant at" instead a verb "Rate".
