Rage Quit: Apparently, while the King was trying to roll up Ursa Major and Taurus, the bear/cow that he rolled up escaped, prompting him to do this and have the Prince take his place.
Source: Video Game / Katamari Damacy - This makes sense though, since the designers want you allow players to roll up characters of different race/gender combos, it would take a lot more programming to whip up random items with a decent chance of actually being used rather than sold.
