Snap up verb - To take physical control or possession of (something) suddenly or forcibly.
Usage example: I snapped up the last remaining cupcake before anyone else could get their mitts on it

Wrest verb - To separate or remove by forceful pulling.
Usage example: wrested open the stuck door of the cabinet
