Take down

Take down verb - To reduce to a lower standing in one's own eyes or in others' eyes.

Write-in and take down are semantically related. In some cases you can replace phrase "Write-in" with "Take down", this terms are similar.

Write-in

Write-in noun - A candidate for public office whose name does not appear on the ballot and so must be written on the ballot by the voters.
