Blockade
Blockade verb - To disallow entry into (a place) by means of a physical barrier at the entry point.
Usage example: the militant protestors blockaded the whole area around city hall
Lock and blockade are semantically related in blocking topic. In some cases you can use "Lock" instead the word "Blockade" as a verb or a noun.
