The general pattern is a bar of 5/4, followed by a bar of 3/4, followed by a measure of length that varies (the usual pattern is 4/4, then 5/4, then 6/4, then 8/4, but other patterns are used, such as 4/4 then 8/4, or, at the end of the song, one each of each meter signature from 4/4 up to 10/4).
